In the adult fiction market, he is very interested in Suspense, Thrillers, and Mysteries. Some of the books he loves are CABARET MACABRE (A SPECTOR LOCKED-ROOM MYSTERY), The REACHER novels, especially TRIPWIRE and PURSUADER, any novel in the MAARTEN S. SNEIJDER series, ALL THE SINNERS BLEED, and THE GUEST LIST. He would also love to see more Romance. Some of the books he enjoys are all books in THE MAXTON HALL book series, and ONE DAY.

In contemporary YA fiction, he is primarily looking for everything Romance, Rom Com, Boarding School settings, Thriller, Friendship stories, OR a combination of those, plus a dash of horror. His favorite books include TO ALL THE BOYS I’VE LOVED BEFORE, THE STATISTICAL PROBABILITY OF FALLING IN LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT, EVERYTHING WE NEVER SAID, ACE OF SPADES, and TRULY DEVIOUS.  In YA fantasy, he likes books such as SCYTHE, THE GIRL WHO FELL BENEATH THE SEA, and THESE DEADLY PROPHESIES. He is also looking for YA Graphic Novels. THE FOX MAIDENS, THE MAGIC FISH, and PUMPKINHEADS are amongst his favorite reads.

Ariell Cacciola is the editorial director of Wild Hunt Books. She is always open to agented submissions and opens up periodically for unagented authors. I really need a book to grab me from the first page (first line is even better!). I also really like to be surprised by a book, i.e., does the story or character spin in an unexpected way? I’m particularly taken with modern and contemporary set books but wouldn’t be put off by something pre-1850. 

I would be very happy to receive manuscripts that involve:

• Unexpected ghost stories

• Unreliable POVs
